Office Hours
Office hours will be offered during ACCESS. Please speak with your instructor if you need additional support.
Attendance
Get to class on time. If students are not seated at their desks when the bell rings, or are unprepared with appropriate materials, they are considered tardy. If tardiness becomes an issue, it will be addressed.
Absent Work
Students are expected to make up all absent work within the set time limits including homework and assessments. Per district policy, students have two days for each day absent to make up work. If a student is absent only the day before an assessment, they can expect to take their assessment on the assessment day. If they are absent on the day of an assessment, then they are required to schedule a time as soon as possible to make it up.
Students may be asked to take the missed assessment during the next class period. Failure to make up the assessment in a timely fashion will result in a zero for that assessment. If there are extenuating circumstances, please speak with your instructor immediately, do not wait, this is your responsibility.
Bathroom and Hall Passes
Leaving the classroom during class is discouraged. Please don’t ask to use the restroom during direct instruction or when someone is presenting. During independent work time, one student is allowed to use the restroom at a time. Make sure to take the hall pass and write your name on the glass window next to the door.
Cheating, Fabrication, Inappropriate Collaboration, Plagiarism
If a student is caught cheating, it will result in the loss of full credit for the assignment and they will be reported to administration.
Food and Snacks
Food is only allowed during the third period and only for the first 5 minutes of class. At any other time, food must not be taken out. Students who eat without permission will be asked to stay after class and help straighten up. If it happens again a call to home will be made.
Electronic Device Policy
Three Creeks K-8 recognizes the need for families to maintain contact with students outside of the school day, therefore cell phones and smart watches are allowed at school under the following conditions:
Cell phones, smart watches, earbuds, bluetooth and wireless headphones are allowed at school but need to be powered down and in backpacks (out of sight) at all times.
- 1st offense- Remind students of cell phone policy and have them put the phone away, and document in the admin conference.
- 2nd offense- phone is taken by teacher or staff for the entire day and will need to be documented in an admin conference and communicated with the parent via email.
- 3rd offense- The teacher confiscates phone, documents and phone will be sent to the office and the student picks it up at the end of the day. Email sent to the parent and documented in admin conference.
- 4th offense: The teacher confiscates and sends it to the office. A parent must pick up the phone and meet with administration to develop an individualized student policy before the item is released.

Practice Homework
Students can expect practice to be assigned with each lesson. Practice is due the next class period when students arrive. Late assignments will earn a maximum score of 75%. Late assignments will not be accepted after the end of each respective unit.
