Meet the Principal
Dear Three Creeks Families,
I am honored to have the opportunity to lead a school with such great pride and community! I have been dedicated to the field of education for 19 years as a teacher, instructional coach, assistant principal and principal where I have served the community of Arvada and Westminster. I come to you with experience leading a K-8 model as well as a K-5 model with an ASD center program. I am excited and eager to bring my skills as an instructional leader to Three Creeks K-8 and work with you as a partner in education to ensure your child’s success.
I look forward to spending time with your child, getting to know their personalities, learning styles and interests. I am dedicated to ensuring that they know they are a valued member of our community and have a strong sense of belonging. Our theme this year will be You Belong Here.
Our team looks forward to celebrating our new school year together and will have multiple opportunities for families to join us at school. Please come meet me in person on Sunday, August 11th from 3:00 - 4:30 PM on the Three Creeks Playground!
On Tuesday, August 13th we will be hosting a supply drop off / meet and greet. This is a time for families to come in and tour the building, meet the teachers, drop off medication, drop off supplies, and get your locker (middle school). The building will be open for families from 8:00-9:00 AM and 4:00-5:00 PM. Please log onto Infinite Campus to pay fees before school starts. Class lists and schedules will be released on Friday, August 9th by 4:00 PM. We will not make changes to class placements or schedules for any reason other than an error.
We cannot wait to see Kinder - 6th grade students back in the building Thursday, August 15th and 7th-8th grade students on Friday, August 16th. Doors open at 7:35 AM and school starts at 7:45 AM. Kindergarten is released at 2:40 PM and 1st-8th at 2:45 PM. Breakfast will now be served in the cafeteria as early as 7:25 AM.
The staff at Three Creeks K-8 will continue to review and develop the educational program we offer so that it continues to raise the bar for our students, academically challenging and engaging each student. I have been inspired by the strong collaboration and commitment to student learning that I have already seen in my brief interactions this spring.
A little about me... I am a mom to three teenage daughters and two Bernese Mountain dogs. I get to take my oldest to college on August 17th and will be missing our 7th - 8th graders first day, but I will start my connection with them on the following Monday! My husband and I stay busy running our girls around, watching them do the things they love and cherishing the fleeting (and sometimes challenging🙂) moment of parenthood.
Thank you for the warm welcome to the Three Creeks K-8 family. I am looking forward to leading and learning together as a community. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me if you have any questions, concerns, or ideas you would like to share. Go Cougars!!
In Partnership,
Tonya Bruce
